Why Website Video Works - Corporate Video Production in L.A.

Marc Gold, 24KT Sound & VideoMarc Gold, Owner of 24KT Sound & Video
Website video can build trust:

You never know what kind of history your website visitors may bring with them based on past on-line experiences. They may be very trusting, or very skeptical. You can, however, anticipate that you'll need to quickly establish that your website represents a real business with a human being behind it who's going to provide outstanding service, and because you can't actually be there in person to do that, the content you put on your site has to do it for you, and therein lies the challenge. Do it right and your website content will build that trust, do it wrong and you'll drive visitors off in frustration to one of your competitors just a mouse-click away. Because you're not there in person to look people in the eye, shake their hand, counter objections, educate and close the sale, you need to do the next best thing. That's where a website video can be your greatest asset. Video comes as close as you can get to a face-to-face conversation without your actually being there, and can be as effective as speaking directly to a customer in your place of business. Here's why:

Conversation is much more than words:
During face-to-face conversation we all make subconscious judgements about what we see and hear by continuously evaluating the tone of voice, eye contact, posture, facial expressions, and hand and arm movements of the person speaking. These signals help us sort out what's believable and whether or not what we're hearing is trustworthy. Unfortunately, the text on your website doesn't contain these crucial signals. Website video, on the other hand, does. Your video is the face and voice of your business representing you 24/7 by demonstrating, educating, motivating and building credibility. Credibility leads to trust. People respond positively to websites they trust.

Having to dig for information:
Assuming that no one ever intentionally chooses the most difficult, time-consuming way to do anything when there's an easier way in plain sight, your website should make it easy for people to find what they're looking for, and it's clearly easier to sit back and absorb content by watching a short video than by reading through paragraphs of text. Research indicates that only 2 out of 10 people will read to completion what you write anyway, (8 out of 10 will watch a video to completion) and if your written content antagonizes people sufficiently, they'll simply leave your site. You have about 7-10 seconds to capture attention and engage your visitor, and a much better chance of doing so with an entertaining, informational 30 second video.

The signs of success:
Ideally, your website content should lead visitors to visualize themselves using and benefiting from your product or service and wind up saying to themselves, "That's the answer I've been looking for. I think I'll contact them."

After all, we're living in a video generation where video-enabled mobile devices abound. Video has risen to the number one way of giving and receiving information and the social networks exist that make it easy to share that information. Your future customers are growing up using video to entertain themselves, but more importantly to communicate, to learn, to share, and to purchase. Learn to speak their language on your website and reap the rewards.

Kick back and enjoy this fast paced video demo reel with scenes from the many videos I've produced, corporate and special event. Enjoy!

Video Production Services for Weddings – Why it is Necessary?

http://24ktsound.com/
Weddings are considered to be one of the happiest times in everyone’s life. They provide an opportunity to reunite with loved ones near and far. They represent the beginning of a new chapter in a couple’s life, a time to celebrate the passage from being a child in one family to becoming a husband or wife and beginning a new family. For many people, a wedding is the perfect time to see their grandparents, aunts, uncles or even their own parents. Since it is a time for celebration, you’ll often witness many of the guests truly enjoying themselves. Weddings create a tremendous opportunity to capture the magic and emotion of these special moments.  As a wedding videographer in Los Angeles for the past 30 years, I know the value of creating these types of memories. Weddings are not unique in this regard. Any event that brings loved ones together in celebration is worthy of recording.

My parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, a two day long celebration, brought my father’s five brothers and sisters together for the first time in many years. The video of the event, recorded by a colleague of mine, has since become a family heirloom with some of the only footage ever made of all six siblings together. Now that they’re all gone, the video has become invaluable.

Modern technology not only allows us to record these moments but also creatively weave them into a unique, cinematically dramatic keepsake for families to enjoy for generations to come. The addition of wedding video made possible for the first time the ability for children to see what really happened at their parent’s wedding. They get to see relatives they may have never met. Video allows them to share a very special memory with their parents.

In addition, while watching their own wedding video, many brides admit they didn’t remember certain portions of the event and some of the activities that the video clearly showed them participating in. Even though photography has been around for more than a century, nothing can capture the essence or emotion of a wedding celebration quite like video. And, photography doesn’t capture the sounds of that day. They can laugh all over again at the best man’s toast or wipe the tear from their eyes as they watch the bride’s dad share a special dance with his daughter. Wedding videography in Los Angeles is some of the best being made in the country allowing couples to relive any part of their wedding day anytime they wish . It s a magical bridge to the past.

Breaking The Ice – A Videographer’s Perspective

Breaking The Ice

We who work in the wedding and special event industry have chuckled over the entertaining spectacle of a photographer trying to entice a baby to smile for a photo with whistles, bird calls, teddy bears and funny faces with parents and relatives on the sidelines doing the same. But what do you do with a group of nervous adults whose language you don’t speak and who don’t understand what you’d like them to do?

As a professional videographer that works often with particular nationalities, having a couple of tricks up your sleeve that can help adults feel more comfortable can make a big difference in how your shoot goes. Here’s a simple strategy that I’ve seen in action while on a video shoot where a couple of photographer friends of mine were trying to pose a very conservative group of foreign visitors that seemed to be more than a little bit unsure about the process.

I watched the photographers instantly warm up the shoot by trying to say a few words to the guests in their native language. I don’t really know exactly what was said, but the reaction was instantaneous. The looks of amazement and the laughter that ensued said it all…the whole ambiance changed. Almost magically and because of their little gesture the language barrier-related awkwardness that prevented people from being themselves vanished. Reaching out to the guests in a way they could relate to put them at ease.
